Choral music has a long history in Utah, from the early pioneers organizing church choirs, from elementary school children proudly singing for parents and grandparents, to university choirs such as the one see below at Utah State University in the 1960s being taught and molded by William H. Ramsey, one of the many of capable and engaging professors that have brought choral music to where it is today.
Modern-day university choirs may look a little different, but
the tradition continues as well as the quality. Dr. Brady
Allred, another great choral professor is the motivation and
inspiration for the University Singers, seen below.
It is the sincere hope of the ACDA Utah
Chapter to move choral music through the 21st century with the
same passion that propelled it through the past. This web
access is designed to help reach this goal.
